Selamat Datang and Greetings from the desk of your Organising Chairperson for KK2012!

We in KK, Sabah - Land below the wind are excited to bring you yet another Toastmasters Convention! The District 87 Toastmasters Annual Convention will be held 18th - 20th May 2012 at Promenade Hotel, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.

This will be KK's 4th time hosting an annual convention and we will adhere to do all we can to ensure you have an amazing weekend full of fun, fellowship and educational value; and we're doing all this with a song in our heart and a dance to our step!

The Convention:

The Annual Convention 2012 for Toastmasters members from District 87 will be the 2nd Annual Convention to be held after the reformation of District 51.  The new District 87 now serves Toastmasters Clubs from Indonesia, East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak) and Brunei.

Events to look out for at KK2012 Convention:

1. Keynote Speech and workshop by Dr. Dilip Abayasekara, Toastmasters International Past President and twice 1st Runner-Up at World Championship of Public Speaking.
2. Educational Sessions by 3 of our Past District Governors, Datuk Adeline Leong, DTM, Dunstan Chan, DTM and Li Yo Wei, DTM
3. Combined (English & Mandarin) Team -building Leadership Workshop
4. For one night only - KKTMC's very own 25min Grease Toastmasters Musical on Welcome Night
5. A Masquerade themed glamorous Gala Night
6. Inspiring and mind-blowing District level International Speech and Table Topics Contest
7. Amazing and fun-filled tours to the most beautiful places in Sabah pre and post convention

and more!!  We have also invited members from our sister District 51 as well as District 80 so you will be able to meet old friends and make many new ones! Our target is a very reasonable 300 delegates.  See you there!
